Open Water Rowing in a Stunning Location

Experience the longest day of the year out on the water in beautiful Belfast Bay in the dory Sorciere! All skill-levels welcome. You can row or be a passenger--please note this on your booking form. Refreshments will be served to compliment your row. Bring an offering to share representative of Summer: a poem, a physical object (stones, flowers) or even a song! The Summer Solstice Row happens on the day of the Solstice, Wednesday, June 21. Three sessions are offered: in the morning at 8:30 and 10:30am and at the end of the day, at sunset. Total on the water time is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. This row can be booked privately for 2-3 people or as mixed group of individuals. A unique and memorable experience to share with friends, sweetie and family ages 10 and up; under 14 with adult supervision. Pricing is $95 per person. Your row begins with a safety talk, reviewing the different parts of the boat, going over rowing commands and getting seated properly and comfortably. Lifejackets (PFDs) are required to be worn on the dock and in the boat. DWR will provide these--however, if you have your own PFD, please bring it. Dress appropriately for the weather (Layers!). Temperatures vary and the wind can be brisk. Wear comfortable synthetic, silk or wool clothing clothing, wind resistant outerwear, including a hat and gloves and footwear that will keep you warm. Bring water to stay hydrated. Sunscreen is advised during the day. A hat can provide additional sun protection. WEATHER AND DWR CANCELLATION POLICY: Safety is DWR's top priority. Rows are weather dependent. DWR will go out in a variety of weather conditions, including light to moderate wind, some chop or swell, fog, rain and snow. Cancellation Policy

A client-canceled row that happens 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund; 24 hours in advance, half the fee will be refunded.  Less than 24 hours, day of cancelations or "no-shows" will not be eligible for a refund.  A canceled row may be rescheduled one time.  A cancelation after a row has been rescheduled will not be eligible for a refund. DWR reserves the right to cancel a row at any time, for any reason, generally due to safety concerns. If this is necessary, DWR will make every effort to reschedule the row. If this is not possible, a full refund will be issued. Rows purchased for a particular service cannot be transferred to another service. Purchased Pricing Plans are for the purchaser only--cannot be used for another or transferred to another person. Gift cards can be used for Pricing Plans.
