Place yourself in this picture: experiencing the ever-changing palette of colors of a gorgeous Maine sunset out on the water from a wooden dory. Tune into the peace and calm as the water settles out. Take in the spring and summer seasons against the backdrop of the setting sun--it positively glows! Sunsets are a wonderful time to observe the abundant wildlife that live in this watershed. This scenic tour can include rowing out into Belfast Harbor or up the Passagassawakeag River. You can try rowing or be a passenger. Please note on the booking form. Open to all skill-levels. The Sunset Row is offered evenings throughout the week. Total on the water time is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. This row can be booked privately for groups of 2-3 people or as a mixed group of individuals. Pricing is $95 per person. This is a perfect on the water outing for couples, friends and family! Your row begins with a safety talk, reviewing the different parts of the boat, going over rowing commands and getting seated properly and comfortably. Lifejackets (PFDs) are required to be worn on the docks and in the boat. DWR will provide these--however, if you have your own PFD, please bring it (and let us know). Dress appropriately for the weather. Temperatures vary this time of year and the wind can be brisk. Wear layers: comfortable synthetic, silk or wool clothing clothing and footwear appropriate for the conditions. If it's on the chilly side, bring a wind resistant jacket. A hat offers additional warmth. Bring water to stay hydrated and a headlamp or flashlight. WEATHER AND DWR CANCELLATION POLICY: Safety is DWR's top priority. Rows are weather dependent. DWR will go out in a variety of weather conditions, including light to moderate wind, some chop or swell, fog, light rain and snow. DWR's client cancellation policy applies--please review. Cancellation Policy

A client-canceled row that happens 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund; 24 hours in advance, half the fee will be refunded.  Less than 24 hours, day of cancelations or "no-shows" will not be eligible for a refund.  A canceled row may be rescheduled one time.  A cancelation after a row has been rescheduled will not be eligible for a refund. DWR reserves the right to cancel a row at any time, for any reason, generally due to safety concerns. If this is necessary, DWR will make every effort to reschedule the row. If this is not possible, a full refund will be issued. Rows purchased for a particular service cannot be transferred to another service. Purchased Pricing Plans are for the purchaser only--cannot be used for another or transferred to another person. Gift cards can be used for Pricing Plans.
