Experience the delicious palette of colors of a Maine sunset out on the water this summer in a classic wooden dory. Take a pause and savor the peace and calm as the water settles out, against the backdrop of the setting sun. Speaking of delicious...enjoy delicious tacos right in the boat from Dos Gatos Gastropub right here in Belfast to complement your experience! Oysters and scallops are also available--please inquire! Your tour can include rowing out into Belfast Harbor or up the Passagassawakeag River. Sunset is a magical time to observe the abundant wildlife that live in this watershed, including seals and all kinds of avian life. You can row or be a passenger--please note on the booking form. All skill-levels welcome. The Sunset Row is offered evenings throughout the week and can be booked privately for groups of 2-3 people or as a mixed group of individuals. This is a perfect on the water outing for couples, friends and family. Pricing is $100 per person. Special pricing for 2-3 people: $190 for 2, $285 for 3. Dogs welcome, too! ABOUT THOSE TACOS! Made fresh with locally sourced ingredients. Three tacos per serving. Choose meat or vegetarian, with the assortment Chef's choice. Gluten-free option available. $20 per serving. Oysters and line-grown scallops are also available--contact us directly to order: 207-323-3932 or dorywomanrowing@gmail.com Your row begins with a safety talk, reviewing the different parts of the boat, going over rowing commands and getting seated properly and comfortably. Lifejackets (PFDs) are required to be worn on the docks and in the boat. DWR will provide these--however, if you have your own PFD, please bring it (and let us know). Dress appropriately for the weather. Temperatures vary and the breeze can be brisk in the evenings. Wear layers: comfortable synthetic, silk or wool clothing clothing and footwear appropriate for the conditions. If it's on the chilly side, bring a wind resistant jacket. Bring water to stay hydrated and a headlamp or flashlight. Safety is DWR's top priority. Rows are weather dependent. DWR will go out in a variety of weather conditions, including light to moderate wind, some chop or swell, fog, light rain and snow. Please see below for DWR's Cancellation and Service Policy. Cancellation Policy
DWR WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY DoryWoman Rowing reserves the right to cancel a row at any time, generally for safety concerns, right up until the scheduled row time. If a cancellation is necessary due to the weather, DWR will work with you to reschedule the row. If this is not possible, a session credit will be offered. DWR CLIENT CANCELLATION POLICY Rows cancelled 48 hours in advance will be eligible for a session credit; rows cancelled after this time or "no shows" will not be eligible for credit. A cancelled row may be rescheduled one time. A second cancellation will result in losing the credit. The exception is if DWR needs to cancel a rescheduled row due to weather concerns. SERVICE POLICY A rowing service purchased is not transferrable to a different type of rowing service. Rowing packages are for the purchaser only--or if purchased as a gift, for the individual the package is purchased for. Packages can be purchased for use by two people together. Gift cards may be used for all DWR services, with some exceptions.
