Open Water Rowing in a Stunning Location

Experience the the ever-changing palette of colors of a Maine sunset out on the water in a classic wooden dory. Take a pause and savor the peace and calm as the water settles out against the backdrop of the setting sun. In addition to the natural beauty, sunset is a wonderful time to observe the abundant wildlife that live in this watershed, including seals and many species of migratory birds. Your tour can include rowing out into Belfast Harbor or up the Passagassawakeag River. You can row or be a passenger--please note on the booking form. All skill-levels welcome. And how about delicious tacos to round out your experience? Read on for details! The Sunset Row is offered evenings throughout the week. Total on the water time is approximately an hour and twenty minutes. This row can be booked privately for groups of 2-3 people or as a mixed group of individuals. This is a perfect on the water outing for couples, friends and family. Pricing is $95 per person. NEW ADD-ON for the Sunset Row! Tacos from Dos Gatos Gastropub, right here in Belfast! Three tacos per serving. Choose meat or vegetarian, the assortment is Chef's choice! Gluten-free option available. $20 per serving. Must be ordered by 10am the day of your row. Order via the DWR Shop (see Shop in the site menu). Your row begins with a safety talk, reviewing the different parts of the boat, going over rowing commands and getting seated properly and comfortably. Lifejackets (PFDs) are required to be worn on the docks and in the boat. DWR will provide these--however, if you have your own PFD, please bring it (and let us know). Dress appropriately for the weather. Temperatures vary and the breeze can be brisk in the evenings. Wear layers: comfortable synthetic, silk or wool clothing clothing and footwear appropriate for the conditions. If it's on the chilly side, bring a wind resistant jacket. Bring water to stay hydrated and a headlamp or flashlight. WEATHER AND DWR CANCELLATION POLICY: Safety is DWR's top priority. Rows are weather dependent. DWR will go out in a variety of weather conditions, including light to moderate wind, some chop or swell, fog, light rain and snow. DWR's client cancellation policy applies--please review. Cancellation Policy

Thank you for booking with DoryWoman Rowing! Please review our SERVICE and CANCELLATION POLICY below DWR SERVICE POLICY Rows purchased for a particular service cannot be transferred to another service. Rowing Packages are for the purchaser only and may be applied to the service(s) included in the package only. The package cannot be used to pay for another person's row. DWR CANCELLATION POLICY DoryWoman Rowing reserves the right to cancel a row at any time, generally for safety concerns, right up until the scheduled row time. If a cancellation is necessary due to the weather, DWR will work with you to reschedule the row. If this is not possible, a full refund will be issued. DWR CLIENT CANCELLATION POLICY Rows cancelled 48 hours in advance will be eligible for a session credit; rows cancelled after this time or "no shows" will not be eligible for credit. A cancelled row may be rescheduled one time. A second cancellation will result in losing the session credit. The exception is if DWR needs to cancel a rescheduled row due to weather concerns.
