Ice Row + Sauna + Dip in Belfast Harbor!

DoryWoman Rowing is excited to be offering this winter adventure wellness combo, as part of our the Belfast Ice Fest, only this year, it is our OWN sauna--Salty Witch Sauna! Go for an hour long winter row and then slip into a hot wood-fired sauna, right on the Belfast waterfront. All skill-levels welcome, ages 10 and up. This unique winter adventure-wellness combo will be offered on Saturday, Feb. 28 & Sunday, March 1. What to expect? Your Ice Row will include rowing in Belfast Harbor and/or up the Passagassawakeag River to explore the ice! We'll commune with ice floes, surface ice and bergy chunks! We'll take turns rowing and navigating. On the water time is approximately one hour. After your Ice Row, DWR will drop you off at the beach at the Belfast City Public Landing. From there, it's a short walk to Salty Witch Sauna at 15 Front Street, right next to the harborwalk. Heat up, cool down, rest, repeat. A sauna witch will be there to greet you and get you settled in. The sauna seats up to 6, so invite your friends to join you! Additional seats can be booked under "Ice Fest Community Sauna." The cost is $40 per additional guest. What to bring: For your row: Dress appropriately for the weather (layers). Temps are cold this time of year and the wind can be brisk. Wear comfortable synthetic, silk or wool clothing clothing; insulated, wind resistant outerwear and a hat, gloves and footwear that will keep you warm and dry. Bring water to stay hydrated. PFDs provided and are required to be worn in the boat. For your sauna/dip: Wear a bathing suit and bring two towels: one to sit on in the sauna and one for drying off, water to drink and shoes for going in the ocean. NOTE FOR 1-2 people: your row and/or sauna may include other individuals. DWR WEATHER AND CANCELLATION POLICY: Safety is our top priority. The Ice Row portion of the experience is weather dependent. If conditions are unfavorable, you will be issued a credit to schedule your row for another time. The sauna-dip will happen regardless, as long as we're not experiencing extreme weather! DWR SERVICE POLICY Rows purchased for a particular service cannot be transferred to another service. Rowing Packages are for the purchaser (or someone else as a gift) only and may be applied to the service(s) included in the package only. The package cannot be used to pay for another seat on the row you're booking.
