Treat your sweetie to a totally different Valentine's this year! Go for a Sweetheart Row in beautiful Belfast Bay in a seaworthy wooden dory! Love potion tea and tasty treats will be served to stoke the fires and compliment your row. All-skill levels welcome. Row together (talk about a new love language) or enjoy being a passenger. Flying solo? Treat yourself to this extra special row! Speaking of fire...how about a wood-fired sauna session for you and your sweetie after your row? This is a 1.25 hour session. Choose the sauna add-on on the booking form! Winter on the water is magical. Snow and ice make everything nice! In addition to taking in the beautiful marine environment, we'll observe wildlife who make this watershed their home, including several species of birds that winter over here: buffleheads, long-tailed ducks and common loons. We may also see other wildlife, such as seals and eagles. The Sweetheart Row is offered February 13-15 and is open to individuals, pairs and trios, ages 10 and up. Total on the water time is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. Pricing is $100 for individuals; $190 for pairs; $280 for three people. Your row begins with a safety talk, reviewing the different parts of the boat, touching on rowing technique and getting seated properly and comfortably. Lifejackets (PFDs) are required to be worn on the dock and in the boat. DWR will provide these--however, if you have your own PFD, please bring it. Dress appropriately for the weather (Layers!). Temperatures are cold this time of year and the wind can be brisk. Wear comfortable synthetic, silk or wool clothing clothing, insulated, wind resistant outerwear, a hat and gloves and footwear that will keep you warm and dry. Bring water to stay hydrated. Sunglasses and sunscreen is recommended for daytime rows. WEATHER AND DWR CANCELLATION POLICY: Safety is DWR's top priority. Rows are weather dependent. DWR will go out in a variety of weather conditions, including light to moderate wind, some chop or swell, fog, rain and snow. DWR's client cancellation policy applies--please review. DWR SERVICE POLICY Rows purchased for a particular service cannot be transferred to another service. Rowing Packages are for the purchaser (or someone else as a gift) only and may be applied to the service(s) included in the package only. The package cannot be used to pay for another seat on the row you're booking.
